GRPH 98A - Beginning Photoshop - Stage 5 - Stevenson

Assessment Methods	Analysis of exam, quiz, or homework items linked to specific SLOs
Assessment Description	Both SLO's were assessed based on written questions in the final exam and on an analysis of a file that student built as part of the exam. Results were quantified for each student and aggregated across both sections. Our department has fixed 80% as our "pass" threshold and this mark was achieved for both SLOs in each section. Individual rubrics for each section have been collected and archived.

Data Summary	Over 80% of all students in both sections were able to correctly answer test questions related to digital color and graphic file formats. 100% of students in both sections were able to build Photoshop files that used the correct color space and file format.
Analysis Summary	Both SLOs were assessed based on student performance in the final exam. This exam included short-answer questions and a practical Photoshop file to build. Test performance was plotted on a rubric with 5 levels; 4 points were required to pass.
Next Steps Planned	This class teaches software that is updated every year. SLOs in the official course outline need to catch up to the current course content.
