Assessment DescriptionStudent satisfaction surveys confirmed that students valued the logging in of new raw materials and recording lot numbers, catalog numbers and other important data. They also valued the quality control reports for the chromogens tested by immunohistochemistry and verifying results with a second signature.

Data SummaryThe majority of the students greater than 90% overall were satisfied with the course as a whole. Greater than 90% were satisfied with the length of the course, meeting times, material content and the new QC sections added.
Analysis SummaryGreater than 80% of the students correctly answered questions on the final exam directly related to the SLOs of the course.
Next Steps PlannedStudents did not perform as well on ISO and current terminology related to monitoring Quality Systems in ISO-regulated companies-such as CAPAs and SCARs. For Fall of 2013, homework assignments will be assigned to cover this material.

DetailsThe course schedule was changed from four days to six days but student contact time remained equivalent. More powerpoint slides were used to educate on ISO standards and less time was spent on gowning up.
