Data SummarySLO D: Analyzed using 35 multiple choice questions on the final exam.

Results:

Proficient (28-35 correct, >80%): 16 students (53%)

Developing (18-27 correct, 50-80%): 13 students (43%)

No Evidence (0-17 correct, <50%): 1 student (3%)

SLO B & E: Analyzed 4 problems given on midterm exams 3 and 4. Proficiency was considered scoring at least 80% on at least 3 of the problems. Developing was scoring at least 80% on 2 of the problems. No evidence was scoring at least 80% on 0 or 1 of the problems.

Results:

Proficient: 16 students (53%)

Developing: 4 students (13%)

No evidence: 10 students (33%)
Planned ImprovementsBased on these results, many students still struggle with solving problems involving vectors and trigonometry. For improvement, it would help to give the students more time working on and discussion problems in class. It is noted that this course used to also include a conference section and reinstating this conference section should help give students more experience with problem-solving.
