Improvements

DetailsStudents' final project of a website (containing skills of entire semester) were evaluated for proficiency in building the site with multiple linked pages in one of the specified web programs covered in class. Each week an arrange of assignments were required covering one aspect of site building. The final projects were evaluated targeting previous SLOs C, D, E and culminating in L, M, N, O, P.

Assessment and Analysis Review

Assessment MethodsFinal website projects were assessed by instructor, peers and self-evaluation on the basis of fulfillment of SLOs P, Q, R and in evaluating SLOs C, E, L, M, N, O.
When Was Data Gathered? At the end of the semester a rubics was applied to the measurement of students' final website projects which contained skills learned over the entire semester.

Data and Analysis SummaryThe scoring rubics used, showed that 98% of students rated "Excellent" averaged across six scoring criteria. The other small percentage was for two of nine students, a rather small contingency.
Future ImprovementsIn order to test the validity of the assessments made and to gather more data (and hopefully from a larger contingency), this evaluation will be repeated in Spring 2015.

Future Plans

TermSpring 2015
DetailsTo continue to monitor the Student Learning Outcomes over a broader contingency and implementing the SLO R into the rubics.
