Assessment MethodsA Leichhardt-based rubric was applied to the measurement of students’ final portrait projects in order to evaluate students’ ability to define and apply design elements, and their design process and outcomes orally, visually and in written form.

Discussion LogisticsThe data was reviewed by multiple faculty teaching multiple sections of this course. The data will be furthered analyzed in Spring 2015.

Data and Analysis SummaryThe scoring rubric used showed that 31% of students rated "Excellent" averaged across seven scoring criteria. 31% rated "Above Average", 21% at "Average", 10% at "Below Average", and 7% rated "Poor".
Future ImprovementsAs stated in 10e above, the data will be further analyzed and the SLO's reevaluated in Spring 2015.

DetailsAfter the data gathered in Fall 2014 is analyzed by the teaching faculty, a decision will be made as to whether or not the Portraiture Assignment should be modified in any way for the Spring 2015 semester.
