Improvement Details

DetailsWe further refined our improvements on having students take personal responsibility for learning. By mid-semester we placed our tutor schedules onto our LAC website. Now students will be able to take personal responsibility for their learning by going online to determine when academic support is available. Also, in our college success and tutor training courses, we are improving our ability to teach students about taking responsibility for their own learning.

Assessment Methods

MethodsWe are looking at determining how to move students towards our PLO #2: Apply study strategies to academic courses. We are evaluating how students in our college success courses apply methods through their course assessments, how tutors apply study strategies to their own learning as well as tutoring those skills to their students in the Learning Assistance Center. Pre and Post surveys provide the data as well as interviews with tutors.
