Improvement Details

DetailsWe adopted a new rubric-based assessment for SLO "F". We also revised our CLSOs focusing more on skills-based outcomes and better aligning them with our PSLOs and CSU standards. We also updated our Methods of Evaluation.

Assessment Methods

MethodsWe used a rubric-based assessment tool measuring both content knowledge and analytical skill. The SLO assessed was F: "Identify, discuss and analyze the women's rights movement through the 1880s."

Future Plans

TermSpring 2014
ActivitiesAssessment (measurement) of outcomes, Analysis and discussion of assessment data and next steps
DetailsThere will be only one section of History 12A taught in the Spring but the instructor of History 12B will collaborate in analyzing 12A data from fall and deciding on another rubric-based assessment for the newly-revised course SLOs.
HighlightsHighlights include revising the CSLOs for History 12A and using a rubric-based assessment for the first time. We had full participation by instructors this semester and collaboration on assessment and revision of CSLOs went very well.
