Assessment Data Discussion and Analysis
Term | Fall 2013 |
---|---|
How and With Whom | Since much discussion with a fellow Finance Instructor occurred in Fall 1012 regarding SLO's, learning level rubrics, etc, No discussion occurred in Fall of 2013 as I am the only instructor for the only section of this course. |
Number Assessed | 14 |
Data Summary | I compared Fall '12 vs. Fall '13 percentage of students having correct answers to the final exam questions that are mapped to the four assessed SLOs and their two respective applicable learning level rubrics. SLO E: for level B percentage correct remained static at 87% for both Fall '12 and Fall '13. For level C percentage correct improved from 78% in Fall '12 to 85% in Fall '13. SLO I: For level B percentage correct improved from 82% in Fall '12 to 86% in Fall '13. For level C percentage correct improved from 86% in Fall '12 to 90% in Fall '13. SLO L: For level B percentage correct improved from 63% in Fall '12 to 69% in Fall '13. For level C percentage correct improved from 81% in Fall '12 to 88% in Fall '13. SLO O: For level B percentage correct improved from 76% in Fall '12 to 100% in Fall '13. For level C percentage correct improved from 80% in Fall '12 to 86% in Fall '13. |
Planned Improvements | Outcomes for SLO L, financial performance metrics, while improved from Fall '12, is still problematic (below 70%). More lecture time and homework needs to take place in Fall 2014 for this SLO with the objective of improving outcomes. |
